What was your most impressive moment in the 1st presidential debate
October 30, 2008
…..So the first debate is over.
It ended at a little after 10pm last night.
The four candidates tried their best to impress and it wasn’t lost on them what they needed to do.
But at the end of it all many believe the CPP’s doctor Paa Kwesi Nduom made was the most impressive.
He knew when to elicit passion, when to talk strategy, when to give personal examples and when to slip in a joke…………the key points you need to win a debate.
Dr. Edward Mahama was at his deep best. He talked strategy………….comprehensive strategy that seemed well thought through.
Nana Akuffo Addo started well, but swung into defence mode after the first round and spent more time defending his party’s record than articulating his vision…………(understandable because he was up against three opponents.)
Prof Mills was uncharacteristically on the attack and also spent more time attacking than outlining his strategy.
At the end of it all Dan lartey showed up at the debate. His theory of domestication radiated through most of the answers given to questions about the economy.
Supporters of the various parties however are all claiming victory.
Maybe it would take one more debate to determine who most exudes the confidence, answers and attitude of a leader we need.
Question: What moment in last night’s debate was most impressive.

Got something to say?

I was most impressed with Dr. Nduom’s articulation and confidence. I wasnt impressed with Prof Mill’s bitter and angry tone.
it was obvious that Dr. Nduom won hands down- People should put their biases and say the plain truth- Akuufo did not do well as he has been touting his legal prowess at al. He felt like a cared rabbit- I will vote for CPP though I am an NPP person.
God bless Ghana.
