Will the allegations against Ndoum affect the CPP at this crucial moment?

November 20, 2008

We seem to be in a season of allegations. The CPP’s National Youth Organizer, Kwabena Bomfeh Jnr. has also accused the party’s candidate Dr Paa Kwesi Ndoum of negotiating for ministerial positions with the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress; and also creating parallel structures within the party.
He spoke of a publication on September 1 2008 claiming that a letter dated June 24 2007 to the president written by Dr Ndoum in the Daily Guide.

His point, the allegation was never refuted by the CPP presidential candidates.

Well campaign strategist David Ampofoh has called Mr Kabilah’s actions dirty games and insists that the National Youth Organiser has been bought to do this at such a crucial moment.

As some CPP party members worry that this may affect the party others don’t think the party will be affected but says ther is some mischief.

Considering the timing; with just about a few days to december 7 does the party need this now?

Will the allegations against Ndoum affect the CPP at this crucial moment?

Tell me what you think.

kojo, i think this allegation will pose serious problem of trust and what Udoum stands for. Definately, those undecided voters will think twice before taking a decision that would have otherwise be a simple one for CPP. In all, CPP tends to loose than gain. CPP is shaky and will eventually fall in bed with either NDC or NPP. But because we want a change of Government after every 2 terms for our young democracy to grow, NDC looks the favourate.

Hi Kojo,i think the right thing for Paa Kwasi to do is to clear the air, that is if he knows that this allegation is untrue, but if not this will affect his chances.

It will have minimal impact on the Party. It was obvious that CPP was going to improve in this years Presidential elections but obviously can’t win. Now the floating voters are torn apart. It will interest you to know that, the floating voters don’t even care as far as the “tsunami” is concerned. On a serious note, from a lay mans point of view, there is a probability of a run off and who is Ndoum going to endorse? Is it going to be the NPP or the NDC? After he endorses either of the Parties, then people will get confused more to this current issue. Better luck next time Papa Kwesi Ndoum
