What are your thoughts on Prez. Kufuor’s recommendations?

President Kufour in his last address to the state yesterday made some recommendations which according to him would help Ghana a become a second world country.
Prez. Kufuor proposed a five year term of presidency contrary to the 1992 constitution that the four year term which he said posed constraints on a new government which may use nearly a year to familiarize with the state of the nation. He also proposed a six year tenure for the electoral commission. Again he touched on the issue of ministers who were simultaneously members of parliament and said this led to under performance of the government.
But why are the recommendations by prez. Kufuor being raised now? Some have agreed with the president while some others have not.
What are your thoughts on Prez. Kufuor’s recommendations?

i don’t think it’s that important to us anyway. if he had anything to say he should have said it or done it during his time. i also think the time we needed him the most to talk, the was no words from him, unless we all want to play ignorant to this recent important issue which cropped up or nearly cropped up. i think if he has been able to do something within this 8years then i think someone else and even this is not somebody else this is someone we really know and in the system for too long wit much experience to take over. we are behind the new president elect 100% and know he will do extremely better than was already done. this is really moving forward Ghanaian am glad we are understanding politics and voting because of personality.
