Should we blame women who fall prey to the antics of Pastors
August 24, 2009
In five days, four pastors have been arrested for indecent assault on women congregants following reports that they were washing the genitals of women under the guise of giving them spiritual healing.
The reports have brought to the fore, the fact that women most often fall prey to the antics of quack pastors who take advantage of the societal demands of women to abuse them.
While some have argued that women who voluntarily allow themselves to be manhadled by such “pastors” do not deserve societal sympathy, others say the pressures imposed on women by society often push them beyond reasonable limits to try anything….even including the ridiculous.
But for a religious nation, is it strange that many are being taken advantage of by “pastors”?
Tell me what you think………..

Got something to say?

what is hiding there that the pastors want to see? and why women are going to them. the women are devil otherwise they can not open thier privete organs for pastor just for prayers.
I would not blame it on anything than our institutions which are supposed to be giving out the information an doing the teaching. My people perish for lack of knowlegde-as the scriptures put it and it is superflously right. If our institutions are putting the necessary information out there for these women,I do not think the rate will be this huge.
I tell you what:many more women will fall prey this very minute as we share this piece. You sometimes do not understand what at all women in this part of our world want. They will go heaven and earth to have their way in whatever they find to do.I am not saying it is not so intenationally, but the degree to which our women downtown do it is the cause for concern.Let us ask ourselves-how many women in the US or UK would fall for such antics? It is so because they are informed and will therefore not do the unthinkable. But what do see here? They are not informed!
Our institutions must be up and doing rather that be in name.Action now!
Its just unfortunate that some women will continually fall prey to so called “pastors” like these.Everyone and what he or she believes in but let me say that if you believe in the my lord and personal saviour ,Jesus Christ, you would not fall prey to people like these “pastors”.
I know a so called man of God who is respected by the society who had an affair with two blood sisters.
Why, because spiritually he was under a spell from the same family but physically he knew what he was doing but could not stop.
I confronted him to back off or less I will make sure he is exposed.
He thought he was unstoppable but after was i had to intercept a e-mail which I have kept till now.
I ask what on earth do we do to people like this?
The world is a place of strange people like this but what do we do than to pray.
Kojo, why always women? The so called pastors know women are easily conned as compared to men. Our mothers and sisters must wise up and avoid falling prey to these uncouth pastors.
In any case, if these pastors a caught they must be brought before the law and treated as criminals because their operations is not different from that of arm robbers and rapers.
Mmaa mo bue mo ani.
Pasters are not doctors, so our mothers should be carefulof those FAKE pasters, besides jesus didn’t wash any woman’s genital in other to heal her but rather he comanded the evil to come out and they did.Kojo l believe that good pasters can do likewise. Thank you
Kojo i think the right word should be ” some pastors” because some of them are not just “stomach pastors” but also very cunning. Some of them also inspire and put meaning into the lives of others like Dr. Mensa Otabil .
These quack pastors hide under the covers of the name “Pastors”and misbehave to satisfy for their selfish desires. Some of them are even more than these sakawa boys yet they always lament against these very things because no one seems to be watching their activities after their so- called church meetings.
As for those women who patronize these pastors, I don’t think they deserve mercy at all. They always get what they bargain for.
society should be aware of the churches and stop chasing miracles.
this goes especially to the our women. This women should be of virtue. we the children of Ghana should role model them.
Lets blame them,”omo dwebo too much”,i dont know wat they are looking for at all in this world…if you should allow yourself to be told to do such disgracefull acts which is not backed by biblical proof is smacks of daftness and foolishness(so sorry for this harsh but think it must be told bluntly).
some of the women intensionaiiy go the pastors and serdiuce them to sleep with them,am actually a victim of one,and some so called pastors are not really callrd by God,they go around doing their own thing. But think the police has to get hold of any one of them.
i think these women are greedy , and others too are desparate for anything such as this ,,,,,,washing
Some of the woman are agent of the devil. They always want to put pasters into trouble in other to silence them from doing God,s work.
WOMEN should appreciate the fact that, they could be praying for themselves other than believing that it is only pastors that could pray for them. The problem lies in womens perceiption about the devil who can only be conquered by the pastor.
Much us we try to find the causes and solutions of women being prey to the antics of pastors. caution must be taken in utterances. Some of the victims might have genuine reasons and others too might internally lieu the pastors in to doing that for reasons flimsily known to them.
In all the cases, women have shallow faith and will not wait for divine interventions to solving their problems but will prefer other means instead. It is a bad practice on the side of pastors because the Holy Bible does not teach a thing like their doing. For all they (pastors) failed to know is that, Christ was not going about performing miracles, he was doing it on emergency. The best pastors should be doing that will help christians and the nation at large is that they should imbibe good morals and the sense of citizenship in their followers. Jesus was a Divine saint and lived saintly life, he was ordinary and lived ordinary life. So let us all as a people and as christians keep these facts burning in our conscious minds and believe it or not such things will be a thing of the past.
