Lazy spiritual lifestyles.
October 11, 2009
People fall victims to such religious leaders (who wash women’s private parts, extort money from people, etc. )because they are lazy in the practice of their own religion, especially christianity. the price you pay for being lazy in your life as a christian or whatever religion is that it makes you remain ignorant.
Because we want someone else to read and interpret the Bible for us, and also pray for us we get frustrated because we are looking for some particular answers…usually who to blame or call witches, miracles, blessings, financial annd all sorts of interventions… Our frustration in search of these answers makes us fall prey to these pastors and self appointed prophets, evangelists, reverends who satisfy us with illusions such as raisng dead bodies, washing women’s private parts for babies.
Religion indeed has become the opium of the masses.
Why do bookshops sell copies of Bibles? These days they go for free. Why did Jesus teach the Lord’s prayer? Correct me if am wrong but it’s for us to pray by and for ourselves and read the Bible ourselves.
Common sense is taught in the Bible as well. In drawing the line all 3 apply: religion, common sense and scientific knowledge but mostly common sense because this can be applied even in religion and science.
For all christians, Jesus should be the standards or model and not any pastor or evangelist. If we study Jesus’ life we would discover a lot of knowledge from him which will save us from falling victims to these so called men of God. People will perish because of lack of knowledge.

Got something to say?

Kojo, its rather unforturnate that people hide under the canopy of religion to do all sort of deviant behaviors. People are just lazy, and why won’t fake religious leaders take advantage to make hay. We don’t even have time to read the BIBLE so they read it and interpret it the way they like pleasing us…. Its time we wake up and fight these people. People are dieing…
hi kojo, i believe christian should be interceding in prayer in these perilous times.the bible talks about the coming of false prophets and by their fruits we will know if they are of God or not. events unfolding is really disgracing and defiling the image of being a man of God. we can all talk and criticize but this would not solve the issue at hand.I entreat all concerned believers to pray byintercede in their closets.there is power in prayer. greetings to pastor Patrick Owusu and Reverend Doctor Ellen Hagan of End Time Christian Church, Kumasi. Kojo stay bless.
Africans have a history in spiritism. Its was or still is part of our culture. We believe or believed in gods, deity and divinities. In those days, people consulted shrines for all sorts of solutions to problems. In these shrines there was always a fetish priest who served as a mediator between the gods and mankind. It should therefore not be suprising when people still practice this kind of worship but not in the shrines but in some so called churches with some so called pastors who have just replaced the priests and this time they are in suits. It is therefore not so much as lazy spritual lifestyles but primitive mindset.
live is not all about what you have or what you get but what you do with what you’ve got. why has god given every man a brain? because He expects us to make use of the brain and anyone who refuses to use his or her brain is lazy. i don’t sympathize with any person who falls prey to these fakes calling themselves pastors. it better to know that we suffer to gain as the old adage goes. And the ultimate goal of Christianity is to know our responsibility and do them and when found faithful god will bless us and yet we will not be lost.
